What does Certified
Organic ingredients mean?
Organic farming uses techniques that preserve our environment and keep the
soil as healthy as it can be. They do not use synthetic fertilisers, herbicides,
pesticides and chemicals or any other substances that are or maybe, harmful
to soil, water, wildlife, human life or the environment.
Gaia lists all ingredients used and only the
organic ingredients that are certified
organic are put on our labels - this validates the organic
ingredients to ensure they are following stringent
guidelines for their certification. All certified
organic ingredients that we use are sourced from
reputable certified farms and carry the appropriate
certifications - Australian Certified Organic
(ACO) by the BFA of Australia.
Why do we do this? We live on a certified organic
farm and understand the hard work that goes into
ensuring we comply and can prove we have met
with the stringent guidelines associated with
the certification process.
We don't want to give you any false information
about our organic content. Many companies market
their products as being organic when in fact
they only have a very small percentage of organic
in their formulations. We pride ourselves on
not using misleading information in our marketing.
